D-Opto Instruments

The D-Opto range of dissolved oxygen instruments are based on a field proven optical technology that has been successfully used for many years. The instruments enable long term accurate monitoring of dissolved oxygen levels in streams, rivers, lakes and marine environments with minimal on-site maintenance and servicing.
D-Opto Sensor
The D-Opto Sensor is a rugged low power dissolved oxygen sensor available with either SDI-12, 4-20mA or 0-5 volt signal output. The low power consumption and low drift make it an ideal choice for remote installations.
D-Opto Logger
The D-Opto Logger is a fully self-contained dissolved oxygen logger. Simple to operate and easy to deploy, the D-Optologger can endure long field deployments between servicing. The field replaceable battery and simple software with data graphing function makes field servicing quick and straight forward.
D-Opto Shutter
The D-Opto Shutter is a device that attaches to the D-Opto sensor (not currently available for the D-opto Logger). It covers and protects the D-Opto sensing window between measurements, so preventing bio-fouling and deposits from developing.

The D-Opto is a rugged low power dissolved oxygen sensor. It is available with either SDI-12, 4-20mA or 0-5 volt signal output. The low power consumption and low sensor drift make the D-Opto an ideal choice for remote installations.
The D-Opto interface panel makes installation and connection to a data logger quick and simple, and enables simultaneous connection with a computer to ease in-situ calibration and field checks.
For situations where bio-fouling is extreme, the D-Opto can be fitted with the D-Opto Shutter system.
The D-Opto Logger is a fully self-contained dissolved oxygen logger incorporating a dissolved oxygen and temperature sensor, battery and power efficient data logger in a rugged compact underwater housing.
Simple to operate and easy to deploy, the D-Opto Logger can endure long field deployments between servicing.
The field replaceable 9-volt standard battery and simple software with data graphing function makes field servicing and data downloading quick and straight forward.
The D-Opto Logger can record 10,000 data records into non-volatile memory. Each data record consists of the time and date, battery voltage, dissolved oxygen percent saturation and content (PPM) and temperature. Depending on the logging interval, the battery endurance can last over 100 days.
For harsh environments and situations where bio-fouling is extreme, the D-Opto Shutter system can be fitted to the D-Opto Sensor (not currently available for the D-Opto Logger).
The Shutter is a mechanical device that simply attaches to the side of the D-Opto, and is controlled by the same data logger that is attached to the D-Opto.
Between measurements the Shutter completely covers and protects the optical sensing window of the D-Opto. This prevents biofouling from developing, sediments from accumulating, and protects the optical window from impact. Whenever a measurement is required, the shutter opens to expose the sensing window.
The D-Opto Shutter is simple to fit, and straight forward to intergrate into existing installations. Power consumption is very low. The D-Opto Shutter features self monitoring on-board intelligence that ensures reliable operation, even in the most hostile un-predictable environment.
